Here in Ohio it runs $8.99 and up. There are always sales, and some pretty good ones.

Way to much if you ask me! I bought some Michel Miller Fairy Frost and didn't realize it till I got it home, when you hold it up to the light, you can see right through it! I paid $11+/yard for this. I bought fabric at Wal-mart, paid $4.95/yard and it is much better quality. Don't know or really want to know or understand why fabric has to be so expensive. They want us to quilt, but making a quilt is an investment of $80 to $200 before batting and backing is ridiculous! My budget does not support that kind of prices, does anyones??

Prices have gone up to 10.99 to 15.99 and up. The LQS owners whom I have known for a long time because they are actual neighbors, said some wholesale prices are now over $7.00 a yard with most around $5.50 - $5.95 a yard. And then they have to pay shipping costs in addition.

£10 - £13 per metre (so $US15 - $20.50) for normal LQS in this area - if you want specialty like Japanese imports then it is more. There is about 3 inches difference between a yard and a metre I think.

It can often be cheaper to buy online from the States, even with VAT and handling charges if the packages get stopped at Customs.
