I have held onto a few Oreintal prints trying best to choose the perfect pattern. In a magazine (which one??) I saw a solution. Take those fat quaters, or cuts, and frame them like you might do pictures. Scattered several around like this. They seem to float on the surface. And best yet, you haven't really cut into that fabric! It evengives a very simple yet beautiful Asian feel to the quilt.

here goes!!!!

Would love to see a picture to get an idea of what you mean.

My MIL gae me an assortment of embroidery hoops that I had planned to use to display a square from each quilt I've made to hang on the walls in my sewing room. Using some of the pretty fabric I have sounds like a really good idea.
Thanks for the tip!

Yes, the Asian fabrics are so very pretty it's hard to cut them! Here is a picture of a quilt that I quilted for a customer. It might give some ideas.
