Maybe red instead of orange for the center block

If #1 is you favorite, I would select #2 from the left as the center of all the 9 patches. It will bring in a neat secondary design in your quilt. The polka dot may have too much white and jump out at you unless you 9 patch is quite large.

Beautiful fabrics, beautiful cat. All the fabrics are nice. I don't know how to help.

I would use the first 3. Since the floral is your favorite, I would put it in the 4 corners. I would put the blue in the center and then the orange in the other 4 places. When you cut it each way, the blue would be the little square and the orange would be like sashing. I think it would pop nicely and the biggest pieces would be your favorite.

I think if you take out the polka dots everything will blend better. The polka dots might be a fun and whimsical backing, or at least part of a backing.

I feel that all would work with your design but the red could be a little bit overpowering.
I especially like the furry one in the second picture. Really fits right in and is quite at home.
    Beautiful baby. Gleniveve.
