I was in a Crate and Barrel Outlet today in San Marcos, Tx and found some Marimekko fabric for $4.95 a yard. Has anybody ever used this for quilts? It is 100% cotton and is 54" wide. Just wondering how it quilts up.

I used to use it back in the 70's for all kinds of home dec stuff. Loved it! I have no idea what it's like 40 years later, but I would have used it for quilts back then for sure.

The Marimekko home dec. fabric I bought in the 60's was kind of heavy, kind of like canvas. I don't know if it is still that heavy? I used to love their prints for wall hangings, stretched over canvas stretchers.
