I am about to take a OBW class next week and was told I need to buy the Sara Nephew triangle ruler. However I already own a Tri-Recs ruler. Does anyone know if it will work or do I really need to purchase a new ruler? Also was told to have enough fabric for six repeats but not told what size quilt that will produce. Any ideas? Thanks for any input.

If the Tri-Recs has the point on it still it will be ok. The ones with the points blunted will not work because you need the points to line up the parts of the hexagons.

It's a cool block and fun to see how the fabric changes as it's sewn back together. Have fun and please post pix of your quilt.
