I have made a lot of quilts from M'Liss Rae Hawley's 2 books: Fat Quarter Quilts & More Fat Quarter Quilts. Her instructions are really good and my favorite part is that she gives pressing directions.

Here are several free fq patterns. Some are small quilts but just by making more blocks could make a large quilt. I accidentally started this on page 2 of 24 so just click "Previous" and you will see the first option.

I like Fat Friday. Once you make your quilt, all of your leftover pieces make a small Candy Bar quilt. It's a great pattern and one of my favorite FQ quilts, not to mention its quick to put together.

I love the patterns from Anka's Treasures. Her patterns are easy to follow and are so fun. I have several of her books. Fat Quarter 5 is one of my favorites. I've made 3 of the 5 quilts from that one so far, but many of her patterns work from fqs.

Nearly anything by Terry Atkinson works well with fat quarters.

Had to chuckle when I read this post.........I know that I have lots of fat quarters..........sooooo I went and counted what I had (all in a special area) and came up with 1085. Most of them are one of a kind........not many duplicates. Now, what am I going to do with all of them? Don't know, maybe I'll just treat them like art...and enjoy looking at them.
