I don't have a favorite brand. It is whatever I can see on the fabric at the time.

Fiskars has a 24" x 6" ruler with a rotary cutter built in. I love to use this when cutting strips. These were off the market for a while, but now I see them in the stores. LOVE IT.
Other than that I use the Omnigrid. I also like the guideline 4 quilting rulers.

I have a June Tailor ruler that I have had from my first quilting project (it came in a kit with a 28mm Olfa rotary cutter & a mat). I just added grip dots to it & am thrilled with it all over again.
My other ones (triangle & square) are Omnigrid & I like them. I find all the lines helpful to keep things lined up properly. That might change in another 30 years when I hit the senior years, though.

I like the frosted Olfa ruler. It's easy to read and stays put. I had a Fiskar ruler that had a 1/2" added to one side and I hated that ruler. You could flip it over to get the true cut or use the 1/2" added side to allow for seam allowances. I was forever cutting things wrong with it because I had it flipped to the wrong side.

I'm not a fan of the rulers with the bright neon green and yellow markings on them. Hard for me to see accurate measurements with them.

I like the nonslip omni grid. I have one right now and will eventually replace my others.
