Thanks for reminding me. My 12 x 12 bit the dirt but I would love 17 x 17. I have a 50% off coupon from Joanne's I can use this week when I am in town.

I have a 12" square Olfa mat I bought on vacation years ago... it regularly sits by my machine, but it's my "vacation" mat because it fits inside my sewing supplies bin quite nicely... I usually take only small pieces of fabric on vacation and work on blocks, so its perfect... I love mine!!!! I can see that I might like the 17" too... but this one works great!

I have one with ball bearings and the flat Olfa 17 x 17 one. I prefer the flat one. The one with ball bearings seems to want to tip---Probably just the operator! lol

I love my mats too. My most recent is the rotating one and I like it too.

Don't know what I'd do without mine, love it for so many reasons.

I've been reading this thread, & decided I MUST have one. Found the lazy susan bearings on ebay just a few min ago--my dh says he will attach it to a table and I have several sizes of mats. He always is great to do little things that help w/my quilting/sewing. I can hardly wait--the base will be here by 1st of Nov. Cost is guaranteed to be less than JoAnn's..yippee!

Mine is actually built like a lazy susan and is completly round with no square bits like I see in the pictures in this thread. It is a Matilda's Own product which says "made in Japan and assembled in Australia". One hopes you will ignore the breakfast mess beside it...just took a quick shot to show you. P.S. it is 15.5 inches in diameter.
