I agree---love, love, love the rotating cutting mat! I can't really remember how I got along without it.

I've got the Martelli. It's pricey very high quality, ball bearings, round cutting surface, removable ironing surface. I wouldn't be without it and use it whenever I cut and piece any block. Amazing how many times one needs to approach a block from another angle.

I have one but can't find it. My dear husband probably put it away when he was cleaning out the catch all room. At least I hope that is where it is & I didn't take it to a class and forgot to pick it up.

A great tool - especially for patterns such as dunkard's path. A great investment. I don't think it is a nice to have but need to have quilting too.

    You will enjoy the mat!
I have both sizes and have used them for years.

Thanks for the tip. Now I know what size is the wisest to buy.

I've got the 12x12. My favorite use for it is straightening edges and "truing" up blocks. LOVE it!!

I have the 16 inch OLFA mat and the Martelli circle mat. I use both of them everytime I am quilting. Both are fantastic tools.
