I've made many two color quilts, black and white, blue and white, green and white (Irish Chain) and now I'm working on a purple and white quilt for our family's family reunion July 4th weekend, it's going to be beautiful. I make all kinds of quilts, scrappy, planned, but there is something special to me about two color quilts.

Grey and cream are sophisticated
Aqua and tangerine are fresh
Blue and yellow are calming
Red and white are classically friendly
Black and any bright is dramatic
Green and blue are peaceful

Bear paws.....maple leaf are very nice in two colors.

I recently saw a beautiful jelly roll race quilt made of just 2 fabrics alternating: prints of teal and brown. It was gorgeous.
