Febreze - do you use it?

Have you had any negative effects/reactions from it?

The only experience I had with it was when DH decided to spray some musty smelling dresser drawers.

That did NOT improve the situation.!!

I've used it several times on mattresses, pillows, blankets, furniture covers, cloth car seats. I love it.

It's no worse than any other general cleaner.

I love Febreze. I prefer to air out rooms or set things out in the sunshine when I can, but there's always a bottle of Febreze somewhere in this house.

You never know if you can use it until you try it. I have no problem with it nor does my Mom or late Dad, but my two brothers get really sick from it. One has breathing problems from Febreeze (he already has respiratory problems) and the other one gets a rash from it (but he already has a skin problem). If it doesn't work out, believe me, folks will buy it at your garage sale.

We have used "All" for allergen removal as well as Fabreze. We get about equal results. I also have tried Lysol deodorizer spray. It works well also.

I also use Folex for spot removal. It's wise to test the fabric first though. I got a nasty surprise when I went to remove a couple of little spots of blood from a beautiful quilt, and it took the dye out. :-(

I use it, now & then, & have 3 dogs, none of which it seems to bother. If you are going to try using it in a dresser, to help get rid of odors, you might try spraying a towel, wash cloth or something, then put that in them, just a thought. I love how it freshens the house when you can't open all the doors & windows, but I go lightly, as DH has allergies too. He likes it too though... I have a candle too & like it!

I use that brand of air freshners too & they are nice also!...

I use it as a temporary measure, but it does not permanently remove most odors.

It does work to help mask some, but if it is an allergen you are trying to get rid of, it does not work for that. Just because you can't smell it any more doesn't mean that it isn't still there  :D:D:D
