Feels good..

I gifted a Christmas quilt to the young man (4) across the street. He never said much to me, just a mumbled thank you. But his mom said he stayed wrapped in it all day and then took it to bed with him. Made me feel good.

That was a feel good thing you did. When a person somehow/someway "touches" me in a loving/ caring way, I give them a quilted piece I have made. I feel they will appreciate it and they certainly seem appreciative so it's a feel good feeling for me too.

i love this story. I made a Thomas the Train quilt for the 3 year old grandson of a neighbor and he dragged it around outside with him all day. Cracked me up... I'd look out my window and see him dragging it across the yard and I'd get the warm and fuzziies. So frickin cute...

That is a sweet story about your secret pal, Homespun. She'll likely never use it because it is so obviously treasured. As for the "thanks for the blanket" recipient.... Other's values are different then our own. My 40 year old nephew won't let anyone use his quilt. I discovered he's very sentimental, which was precious to learn. "Stitched with Love" is my motivation regardless of recipients values. Keep doing what you love!
