Thank you for the question and for the suggestions on how to make this. I have never heard of these, but I can see that they would be useful. My mom, who is 93 has Alzheimer's and she is always fidgeting with her clothes, bed sheets and anything within her reach. I'll make one of these for her and see how it goes. If it works well, I'll make some for the other ladies in the home. Thanks, again for the thread.

I made many of these "Nesteldecken" as we call them over here: the main thing is to sew everything very very tight to the fabric, zig-zagging two or three times!
