Finally, more time for quilting

You'll love retirement! I retired( really I just quit) when my youngest finished college. I wished I had my kids when I was younger so I could have quit work sooner. LOL. It's a wonderful feeling to wake up and know you can do anything you want o do all day.

Congrats Sophie!! I hope that retirement is everything you want it to be. (I've heard that you'll probably be busier then you've ever been. lol) I hope that you will stay healthy and well and enjoy this time of your life for a very long time.

Congratulations on your retirement! I hope you enjoy your new life as much as I enjoy mine. I was surprised that I didn't go near my sewing machine for at least 6 months. Couldn't figure out why - after much thought I figured out that sewing was my escape when I was working. When I retired I didn't need to escape anymore. When I did get back into sewing it was because I truly enjoyed it. Many people travel a lot, I enjoy staying home. I've been to Houston several times and will be going to the quilt show in Des Moines. You will find so many wonderful things to do with your time. You'll wonder how you got anything done when you were working!

Congrats on your retirement - sounds like you have some great projects in your future. EAA sounds awesome - my husband is a pilot and helped build an airplane with his grandfather - always wanted to attend - just never had the time to make it - have fun.
