Default Finishing topper

Would you use the birthing method or bind it? How would you turn the corners if using binding? If I use the birthing method, would I quilt it after or before? I am making 5 of these.

If you are good at binding, then bind. I like Heather's tutorial on binding odd angles is at http://ankastresures.wordpress.com If you decide to birth, the quilting is done after the birthing.

I think I would bind them, probably either with black, or that bright green would really make it pop. Not sure, cuz I'm no pro for sure, but I think when you are binding around angles/curves, you have to cut your binding strips on the bias. Good Luck, topper looks great!

I agree with the above. It is not a difficult angle. The black would frame out your table runner so nicely.

Ditto -- I would bind. I have made several of these and the binding is not that hard. If you birth it, quilt after you turn it. I have also partially quilted the top and batting and then added the backing and turn it. Then I finished quilting the top. That turned out pretty well, too.

I would bind with black also. Binding will be more pleasing in my opinion.

Bind it. You don't need bias for this - those are actual corners - just a different angle and can be treated just like 90 degree corners. I do use bias for any curves like the Spicy Spiral runners.
