Apparently I enjoy being stressed. One day while zipping through this site I saw a quilt made from scrubs.

I went to my facebook and asked if anyone had old scrubs they no longer wanted. My future sister-in-law came through with a decent sized bundle.

I was going to make a quilt for my office but then decided to make one for hers. She works in an opticians office.

I am going to attempt to create a face with glasses to give to her.

I am going to use pink for the face, green for the eyes, black for the glasses and yellow for the hair. I am going to use a mickey mouse pattern for the mouth.

Wish me luck and if you have ever designed a quilt and have a suggestion for how to accomplish this I would appreciate it.

I will post as I go along :)

I'm designing my first quilt right now, too.

I am using the computer to "draw" with, though, so thats a big help!

Some time back I wanted to do a portrait in a quilt and I remember reading that one way would be to project the picture onto a design board and then to 'pixalate' it showing all the different areas and colors to use. I think there are simpler ways of doing that nowadays with computers but I lack the technical know-how. Maybe someone (what am i saying maybe?) here knows how to do that and can explain it. Good luck. Let us see you finished project.
