Your quilt is beautiful. I've never seen paper piecing like that before & I love it!
I vote for the green border. I piece my borders all the time when they aren't long enough & you don't even notice it. I do a continuous binding for my quilts.
Here's a short tutorial that shows how to make them:

I'm guessing she means to piece strips of the black into the green border, to extend the green fabric to make it enough, and to make it similar to the body of the quilt.

I agree with the green and pieced with black if necessary! What a beautiful job of paper piecing!

Another vote for the green. Neat block choice too.

Very nice and pretty quilt. I never have done paper piecing but you sure did pick up the idea wonderfully. I would vote for the green border fabric. I feel the yellowish is too bright. Beautiful quilt.

Well, I guess I will be different. The yellow is very striking and I would use it as a small border and then use the green. I would not add black to the border pieces. I do love bright colors so .....

Very nice quilt! Worth all the un-sewing, I think I piece border fabric often. I don't think it is a problem. Guess I've never thought it was wrong and will continue to do it.
