Thanks for the suggestions and the praise... I've been putting it off but now procrastination is bugging me

Any quilting design in the blank space will be great, just practice, practice and practice some more on paper tracing your design and get it into your brain. After you have your quilt loaded, practice some more then a few deep breaths and off you go.

OOHHH, I love what Luvspaper posted! But if you want to do less work on your home machine maybe drawing lines similar to this below might help. I'd probably add another line of the curved design depending on how large the block actually is.

Draw a line from the top of the light area to the bottom and side to side, like a plus sign. Then use a circle to make one arc up and one down on each line, so an arc from one edge to the middle and the middle to the other edge. Do it again upside down. Repeat on each line and you will end up with a four petal flower in each area.

I like how you incorporated blue into the quilt - lovely.

Very pretty quilt. I just saw this pattern on Eleanor Burns yesterday. I really like it.

I'm never sure what level of difficulty to go with for advice. Obviously, feathered butterflies would not fit your request, but maybe a simple series of hooks set in a circle is too simple. Anyways, here's what the design I was thinking of looks like.
