    Default First Scrappy!

Great project for when you want some mindless sewing. I used muslin for the foundation. Question: since I used muslin on the blocks, would a border look and feel weird since that is not on muslin? Should I just bind it and not put a border on? I really like the idea of using scraps and am looking forward to doing more! It almost feels like a "free" quilt!

Very nice. It is so modern looking that I don't think I would add a border to keep the contemporary feel.

Is that the pattern God's Eye?

    Default scrappy

this is the scrappy I did and I also used muslin for the body of the blocks. love scrappies and now to get it quilted and I also did one with a red border and turned out just as nice. mindless sewing is right with these.

I would skip the border. You've done a great job. I'm inspired to do one following your same approach of using the same color in the middle of each block.

I did a scrappy similar to that only without the white and it looked great without a border and quilted well on long arm. It was great project for when you just had to sew something!

you did a great job. i would put a border on if it were mine... but it looks great just as it is. guess it depends whether it's big enough for you.

I hardly ever put borders on my quilts anymore as I like the modern look without them. If you are happy with the current size, I would not add a border. Cute quilt!

VERY nicely done. I think the use of white helps to pop the colors from the fabrics you used.

That's magnificent!! How did you get all the white stripes to line up so perfectly?
