I use regular printer paper because I copy for free or purchase most of my paper piecing patterns off the internet. I have also been told, but never tried it, that onion skin works well in printers and is easy to sew on. Sometimes I buy 8 1/2 by 11 paper tablets and use that because it is cheaper than 20 lb. printer paper. Whatever you use, have fun. Paper piecing is my favorite. And you have started out beautifully.

I love to paper piece, too. I use the cheapest copy paper I can find or if Perfect Piecing by June Tailor is on sale, I'll buy that. It's okay to work with but I think my copy paper is best. So why use anything else, I don't have an answer for that. LOL..

I too love pp! I am starting a quilt for my sister with schoolhoused and log cabin blocks. It is easy to see how to break the pattern up for paper piecing - it will make those schoolhouses stand tall and straight!

Glad you like paper piecing. Keep going and expanding your projects. Practice is sometimes frustrating, but the rewards are worth it.

Great job. I absolutely love paper piecing. When I update my blog, I have pics of some of my projects on my so not updated blog: 2manyhobbiesnever.blogspot.com. I really like that you can create projects using really tiny pieces of fabric and it's easy!
