Default Fiskars hexagon punch.

I bought the extra large Fiskars Hex punch today. It punches 2" hex across with 1" sides. It's very easy to use, not much hand strength needed at all using lightweight cardstock. Someone posted this size has been discontinued. This was the last one on the rack at Hobby Lobby and there were lots of the med and large size on the rack.

I have this punch and I have punched about 900 hexies out of card stock with it! Best tool in the whole wide world if you are making anything EPP hexies!!!

Here is my progress - http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...e-t248828.html

This place is dangerous.

I've been meaning to try these punches for hexies... and given the rumor of the big one being discontinued... well... that *made* me go over to Amazon and search these out.

I just bought all 3. I'll be the weirdo to try using the little one!

I've been needing a new tripod for my video camera anyway... oh... and added 4 more plates of Fiesta Ware (for my sewmobile) .... so what the heck....

It was a good time to grab these punches, too.

I bought the xl size for a future EPP project. I'm currently doing a project with 1 1/2" hexies and bought a pack of 300 from paper pieces, thinking that would be enough, so am having to think ahead at every stage to make sure I can actually get stuff joined together because 300 is nowhere near enough! Looking forward to being able to just cut some more next time! I'm looking out for some nice cheap card now :-) super glad that I bought the punch!

I love using the XL punch, too. Very smooth action with little pressure needed. I am punching index cards, can get 3 out of a 3X5. Like the weight of them, similar to the precuts. Bought my punch at JA's when on sale. Good buy!

Let me get this straight - you mean this punch will punch a whole hexie? Boggles my mind. Never heard of it but will be heading out to look for one when the stores open. Does anyone know if JoAnns carries it?

That punch sounds heavenly, but I guess I'm still "old school" Printed out several pages of one inch hexies, using a good heavy weight paper, and cut them out by hand while setting with hubby, who is in rehab learning to walk again. Now, I'm basting them to fabric. Those hexies (and my iPad) keep me sane and out of trouble.

I don't think the fiskar punches are being discontinued, but the one like Bonnie hunter shows on her site, name of company is creative moments, I think, is no longer being mfgrd., and I read that company has gone bankrupt.......

I bought the fiskar XL too, even though I do have the GO hexie die, this is much more portable.....did some while having garage sale this wknd. Now will look for diamond shape punch...is there such a thing?
