My kids like my quilts but they say they aren't cozy like they want them. I made one for my daughter that had flannel for the batting and she said yes this is how I want my quilts to feel but heavier. I made another one and used two layers of flannel and all the family agreed this was perfect. They don't like flannel for the backing as it collects all the lint and pet hair. I wash the flannel and then dry on hot setting on dryer. I do my own quilting. The last one I made I added a layer of flannel to light batting. It was very drapable and cozy. I read somewhere about a new type of batting that had a layer of flannel added. I haven't seen it in any quilt shop though.

I saw this company at Quilt Fest in Houston last year. I didn't really look into it because I like my quilts very light, but this might work for you.

Thanks for the link Cashs mom. I had not heard of this type of batting. I must admit that the price is a tad intimidating. I would love to see a quilt after washing and get some reviews from other quilters.
