Default flannel bow tie block

I need some advice. I'm going to make a flannel bow tie quilt for my niece. I've done a little research and one of the suggestions is to use a larger seam allowance-1/2". How does that transfer to the triangles in the corner? Any advice is welcome. Thanks everyone.

I don't know the answer to your question, but I agree with the larger seam allowance--I work with lots of flannel, and the 1/2" seems best to me.

Glad to know about the 1/2" seam allowance for the flannel. Thanks!
