I did a couple that I used embroidery floss & blanket-stitched by hand all the way around. They were for a friend at work & he didn't want the "fringe" on them. They did take longer to do for me than the cut & tie ones, but they did look nice when I got done & were just what he wanted.

the kids and I are tying one now for DH for his birthday on Sunday - he graduated from USC (So. Cal) so it is a USC fleece blanket for him!
