FMQ suggestions
Good Morning from the US. I would love to have some feedback on how to quilt this. I kind of only want to quilt the Sashing and, what do you guys think should I keep it geometric? Would love to hear your thoughts, only keep in mind this is my first quilt to FMQ. I have done several practice pieces and I think I am ready. Thanks for any advice.

Pretty top! You can just quilt the black sashing but I might do a different FMQ design in each section inside the black sashing too. Look at the batting recommend distance for quilting and you might need to put some quilting in the bigger sections.

It depends on what effect you are looking for. If you want to just enhance the design, I would probably do a crosshatch straight line motif. If you are looking for texture a meander or loopy meander all over would be nice. I agree with Stichnripper that Angela Walters has some great videos on choosing designs for areas (diamonds, rectangles, circles, ect.) and would be a good way to start. I'm doing a Cluck Cluck Sew pattern that has loopy meander in the background and the print block squares use a line design to follow shape of strips with the center diamonds using an echoed continuous curve and diamonds between blocks have a feather design. Test your thoughts out on paper or better yet a clear vinyl or plastic that you can lay on block and draw on with erasable/washable markers (just make sure not to get on fabric)

Given that the piecing is the star in this quilt, I would keep it simple in the blocks, with straight line quilting echoing the design. In the border, I would bring in a contrast, in this case a quilting stitch motif based on curves. Big and medium bubbles would look great in the border as would a simple loop motif.
