    I have done that on my last 2 quilts!!! Thankfully, the second one was caught right away and didn't have to rip out more than an inch. Your photo is embedded in my mind.

    I don't FMQ but I have done this. I hate when it happens. It must be so much worse when FMQ because of the long line of stitching. ugh. I feel for you.

    Yup, done that too. Now I put small safety pins around the outside edges every foot or so. It helps prevent it from happening.

    I've even stitched my supreme slider to the quilt before! I only noticed because the machine sounded different to me.
