If you are not sure if you can afford it let it go.

Lean times - let it go! It wasn't meant to be. There will be others.

BTW you're not alone - We're on a spending freeze here too!

And stay out of those places where you may be tempted to spend any kind of money...so No Stores or Resale shops!

Well I found one at a thrift store and only paid $9.95 for it and it was in good condition...wiring and all. Just needed the base adjusted and a needle, which I took care of. The serial number is underneath so you would have to take out the bolt in the bottom and look for it under side of the machine. Look on Ebay at what they go for......more than what they are asking for the one you're looking at. It all depends on priorities, hon.

My friend has gotten 2 FREE!! sewing machines off Craig's List. They both work, too and they aren't ancient. Don't buy someone else's trouble and don't buy if you can't afford it right now. Good luck. Gerry

I agree with offering a lower price. I might not be so firm with the $15.00. I was in the antique business for a couple years, and would deal all the time. Don't be surprised if you offer $15.00 and they counter with $18.00. I still think that is a good deal. I think it is a very cute and I would love to buy it.
