Default Found a treasure trove of a shop

I was in Manchester (UK) today, which used to be the centre of the British textile industry and still has some back street shops that sell fabric and other textile products. I found this place which sells fabric, including quilting fabric, BY WEIGHT! Never seen that before. I got 2 pieces of beautiful fabric, about 7 yards in total, for the cost of about 1.5 yards at a quilt shop, plus a very large piece of fleece, which I'll use as batting for practice pieces. I think I'll be going to Manchester again...

Congratulations! It is always good to find a new fabric source that has managed to stay in business despite the economy.

WTG!

Is it a busy place? Sounds like it would be quite popular.

It was very busy, with people buying for all sorts of crafts, and a big bridal fabric department as well.
