I'm all the time asking people I see in quilt shops if they belong to the board. I then explain what it is and give them the web site. Would be nice to be able to recognize with a lapel pin or something.

I printed off my 'membership' card and am going to try to make a block from the picturer. Shouldn't be too hard. If I can accomplish that, then I should be able to reduce the size down to something smaller to put on our blouses. Might be able to post the pattern (of sorths, anyway) I'll keep everyone informed - but I am leaving for a quilt show in Slidell, LA on Wednesday, so this will be put on hold until next week when I return. Have 3 quilts entered, hope I come home with a 'warm fuzzy' from one of them!!

It would be nice to have a lapel pin. Most people I mention the QB to aren't members and then when I try to explain it to them, their next comment is, 'oh, I don't need anymore computer stuff'. I just shrug my shoulders and realize they just don't know what they are missing. LOL

Didn't know about the card That would have been so much easier to print off and wear to the quilt show. I ended up making a tag I wore around my neck. Didn't see any one else though. And I know with my eyesight I wouldn't see a lapel pin. lol But it is a great idea. I use to have a bunch of pins but they were dumped at a thrift store when I moved years ago ..

OK so this little quilt block wouldn't be that hard to piece and if you embroidered the letter Q B in the center would that work. Our guild did this with out logo and most of us just used a large safety pin sewn on to the back to attach it.

I think the quilt pin idea sounds good. It could be as simple as 2 or 3 colors of ribbons tacked together and a little cardboard circle with QB on it. Something like that would be enough so we could recognize other board members.

My Mom just got me a charm on a necklace chain - the charm contains a fabric square - log cabin - you can put any small block in them for personalizing.
