I don't think it looks bad either. It took me a bit to figure out that the bottom square is a little bigger than the top one. My recommendation: Add some irregular embellishment and nobody will notice. You could add some algae, sparkleys, ...whatever suits your fancy. Honest, I think you are too hard on yourself - - - and a wallhanging by definition is a piece of art.

Each time you see this wall hanging, you'll remember the lessons you learned from it. Just be glad it's a small project & not a huge quilt that you're almost finished with. Love the turtles. Great theme for your wall hanging, or a quilt.

Jingleberry, I plan on taking a motif from the leftover border material to applique on that "wonky" spot.

I think it looks pretty good....anyway Mad is right embellish away...it's art...It certainly looks better than some of the "art" I saw last time I visited our city Art Gallery.

Sorry to hear your frustration. I've been where you are - getting something moving along and then, URCH - a major stop. You are becoming the queen of the fix. Good job.

i do hate it when this happens. i can feel your pain! i've been working on a block all week because i keep cutting wrong and things aren't lining up! i just walked away put it away for a few day. when we get frustrated with a project it'll never end up right until we give it a break!! when u are ready-take it apart and start again. from experience i know that you won't like it and will see the mistakes until it's fixed correctly. it is a pain but it'll be worth it
