    Default Fun Times

Found this picture on the web under one of those slideshow distraction things that if you don't watch it all the way thru you miss such a great quilt idea. Gonna do this for the Mounted Patrol in our area for the Shooting Range Stable Office. NOT certain exactly how I'll do it but this will make their day when they have to muck the stable. Not the most fun part of their day, I'm sure.

Open to ALL suggestions of fabric, added corners, borders, etc.

I've seen these big boys. They are huge and most friendly. Have many pictures we took that day, but none as fun as this.

Horse is a Clydesdale. You can see the logo on top of his harness. There are three touring teams comprised of male horses, at least 6 feet tall measured at their shoulders and weighing between 1,800 and 2,300 pounds. (Right off their site.)

My grandfather raised Clydesdales. What incredible animals!
I hope your quilt turns out great!

I'm thinking of doing the quilt on a plain patrol blue and doing the design as an applique. I went to mimi-panda and did it as a paint by number NOPE--too many spots to do in too many variations. So I did it in a coloring page and that was better. I will have some areas that need to be done in a shading effect but I'm thinking about using a light grey embroidery as just a single line in those areas. I'm ALWAYS open to your suggestions.

This picture puts a smile on my face every time I see it so I put it on my phone as the lock screen. Now every time I start to make a call, I see it and it gives me another smile. The Officers I've been told are part of a Mounted Patrol judging by their uniforms. The Deputy said he didn't know the department but except for the color the uniform looks to be the same as our Mounted Patrol wears. Can't see if the have the riding boots so it is his best guess.
