    Funny christmas story

So...Saturday, I had just got out of the shower when I heard the dogs barking (telling us someone was coming to the door), so hubby answered (Im still in the bedroom trying to get dressed)...I yelled to him is that my package (thinking it was a gift I ordered for our son), he yelled back "no, its my package" so as Im coming down the hallway, I see him tearing off all these lables that were on the box, then he says "can you wrap this for me?" Seriously...do I have to do everything??? ugh! then, as I was looking at the box, there was this packing tape that read "CONNECTING THREADS",....gee, wonder who thats for??? CRACKED ME UP!! he just shook his head and said "damn it!" I cant stop laughing about it.

Men. At least you didn't have to order and wrap it yourself. Too funny.
when life gets you down go and talk with a little kid. They will help you work out even the worst problems with their simple logic.

Well I wonder what your getting for Christmas? Connecting threads!!! That's almost as good as seeing a box with your favourite Jewelry Store logo on it. More bling or more fabric....I'll take either of those!

you gotta love him, at least he bought you something you want. my husband inlists our daughter to do all his ordering and have packages delivered to her. I am home all the time so I always know when packages arrive.

Years ago, my dad got my mom a jacket for Christmas. She picked it out and tried it on in the store. Then he took it home and wrapped it. He wanted her to have something to open on Christmas morning. They are both gone now, but I think about that story every Christmas. He was so sweet.

My hubby always talks to my daughter. She will take me shopping one day and note everything I talk about!! LOL. Than later I find emails between the 2 of them. Don't they think I look at the emails!!!

You have a winner, connecting threads is one of my favorite webb places.

    Merry Christmas!
Have a great day sewing and remember to "not sweat the small stuff"!!

Sometimes it pays to "not see" (smile). What a lovely thing for him to do to try and surprise you. Thank you for sharing.
Desiderata (Max Ehrmann) - Walk placidly amid the noise and haste and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit.

The Fedex truck was here today and i was so good. Brought the package in and put it on the counter and didn't open or even look to close at it thinking maybe it was something for me. So DH comes downstairs, tears into it and says oh good it's the feet for the wet dry vac. Hmmmm not for me after all!

Congratulations, my hubby wouldn't have a clue what to order from a quilting/fabric store. LOL
Fabric is like money, no matter how much you have it's never enough.
