LOL I guess that is as good as what kind of fish is tuna fish? My 11 year old niece asked me that.

I love to hear questions from people who know absolutely nothing about the subject.. Makes me feel much less stupid when I open my mouth!

OK, not quilt related but. I work for a Tree Service company that also has a tree Farm. I have gotten some really dumb questions but the best so far is:

Customer: "How much is a palm tree?"
Me: "What kind of palm tree?"
Customer: "The kind you see in Florida." (I'm in Fla.)
Me: "There are several kinds of palm trees in Florida, can you describe it?"
Customer: "The kind you see all over town."
Me: "Does it have a smooth trunk, a rough trunk, a fat trunk, a skinny trunk, does the green part look like a hand or a fan or does it have long slender leaves."
Customer: "I don't know ... I can see it from my window?"
Me: (ROFL) "Are you staying in a hotel?"
    Customer: "Yes."
Me: "Why don't you ask the person at the check-in desk what kind of palm it is?"
Customer: "Can't you just tell me how much a palm tree is?"
Me: "Our palms run anywhere from $15 to $15,000 depending on the kind of palm ... why don't you talk to the folks downstairs and give give me a call back."
Customer: hung up very unhappy with me and I never heard from the customer again! NOW, this was BEFORE video phones,OK?

    Still chuckling after 5 years,
    Peggy

Unrelated but it's the first thing that popped in my mind when I read the post. Daughter, when she was 14, asked me, I am not kidding,,," Mama, how do you open a baked potatoe?"
It's okay. She now has a BS,BA, and a Masters degree. We've come a long way. Ha!

I want to buy stock in the company that comes out with this machine!
