Hey, keep him, when he is willing to selvage a machine by rewiring, etc. He would get his favorite dessert once a week for a month. This really works, even though I had to bake an apple pie a week for a month when mine fixed my machine.

Good for you, the machine and your DH! Give him lots of huggies and tell him how proud you are of him...sounds like a keeper!

My DH can fix anything also or at least trys to see how it works (or doesn't). He will tackle anything.

Quote: I posted about having my antique Singer that we found at an antique mall refurbished but that came back to me not working. The seller had serious health issues so I asked for some ideas on what to do.

Well yesterday my DH got tired of looking at the machine and cabinet just sitting there and decided to try and repair it himself. As amazing as it seems to me, he did a great job and now the little guy purrs like a kitten. Wires were totally disconnected on the machine so he had to rewire and put connectors on them. I insisted he be the first one to turn it on since he's not really handy with electrical devices but he did a great job on this one. :D
Just goes to show it only takes a little tlc to keep old Singers working. Happy for you.
:-D

Oh those wonderful men on our lives, just when we think they can't they CAN and DO something great. Guess we should keep them. ;)
