Default GFG quilt block centers....help!

Hello and thanks again for all your encouragement to go back to working on my GFG quilt even though I didn't make all the centers the same color and I discovered that all my whites aren't the same, I'm back at it!!! I have 19 blocks completed with surrounding white blocks. But, as I look at them, the centers, I think, still need something. I've mulled over this for some time now and need some of your thoughts for a possible addition to the centers to give them some "sameness". I've thought of, but not sold on, a few of the following ideas and, (don't sugar coat it 'cause I'm not very thin skinned.... LOL) I'd love to have some of your additional suggestions. I thought of placing a 1/2" black button in all the centers to tie the flowers all together but REALLY dislike sewing them on......OR quilting just the centers 1/4" from seams in black thread......OR using black pearl cotton to make quilter's knots in the very center of the centers.......What say you all??????

Are you quilting 1/4 inside all the seams or other design? A little embroidery in the centers might be nice if it doesn't interfere with your quilting.

Any of your thoughts would be fine, you could also embroidery a design in each center, or add a little applique. The sky is the limit. Audition a few of your choices & see what appeals to you.

oh, either the black stitching lines or the black french knots would look nice.

I made a GFG with gold center flowers. Each of the white hexs between the flowers has a white french knot. It turned out nice, yours will too.

Yes, Tartan, I will quilt 1/4" from every seam, not just the center hexagon unless someone has another option. This will be hand quilted even though it admittedly is with flaws.

oh, but French knots might unravel if this is to be a bed quilt. My gfg flowers all have different color centers surrounded in white...looks ok to me. Go to Pinterest and see all the variations on the theme.

I would try a small circle of permanent marker on a scrap and see what that looked like.

my 3/4" hexes have all diffdrent centers and have all different greens. It's very pretty.
It's also my cats, because as i'd work on it. she would sit on it. So she picked it. Too
bad it was one like that that took a million hrs to complete. please show your work
so far.
