I've never thought of using fusible. In my case, I'd be afraid I'd finda way to make a mess. With glue, you just wash it out if you get it where it doesn't belong. Also, there really isn't any drying time with gule. You put it on and iron it and you are done.

Glue from the dollar store, and the iron makes no time needed for drying time.

Perhaps, as many on this board have said before, the washable school glue is really more of a thick starch product that washes out, whereas the fusibles will make a stiffer finish to a fabric. I think if you used lightweight fusible, it wouldn't make the fabric too stiff; might even be a plus for the binding.
Maybe because washable school glue is cheap...@ back to school time, probably 25 cents a bottle; goes a long way. Most I've read here, dry iron the tiny glue dabs & it's dry right away, and also can be pulled back open without problem in case of an error.

Me too. I use glue because it is more accurate, no pins to use, and fast.
