On Friday and unfortunately not for fun. My two nephews Papa passed away and my SIL asked me to accompany them for the memorial. Anyhow I am hoping to stop by a quilting store in Anchorage. I am sure one of you lovely quilters know of one to visit, if you wouldn't mind sharing with me!

Where in Alaska are you going? If you are going to Anchorage there are a couple in mid town close to Sears. I moved from there to Florida in 07 and for the life of me can not remember their names now. I'm sure one of our Anchorage members can tell you.
    Sorry for your loss.

I am sorry for your loss too. The three Quilt stores I know of are
    1. The quilt tree on Benson
    2. The quilt zone on Tudor
    3. And Seams like Home in the University center

If you get out to Palmer and Wasilla there are some neat ones there too.

    Again, sorry for your loss.

I don't think the sticker shock is going to be bad, as she is travelling from Canada. When we were there, we went to Quilt Tree. Eagle River isn't far either and apparently there is a nice shop there.

The one in Eagle River is across Eagle River Loop from Boondocks Sporting Goods. At least it was last time I was there.
