Default Going to Paducah-- still have a question

I'm so excited about my first time to the Quilt Week in Paducah. I still have one question, tho. Someone mentioned seeing the Button Factory there. What is that and where is it? If anyone knows, please elaborate on what's to see there.

Thanks!

I've been to Quilt Week many times. I haven't seen a place called the Button Factory. Maybe it's a vendor?

There were so many buttons shops when I was young.

I'm getting Mom to ask at the Museum...will report back.

By the way, I'm getting ready to start a thread for members who would like to meet up. I'll be able to be an informal 'tour guide' on Thursday if anyone is interested.

Ok, The Button Factory...

It is an exhibit in the River Discovery Center which is an interactive museum dedicated to the rich river history of Paducah. http://www.riverdiscoverycenter.org/

This area was once a major source of mussel shell buttons and the exhibit shows how they were harvested and produced.

The River Discovery Center is within walking distance of the other points of interest during Quilt Week.
