Goose Tracks

Wowie zowie! To do something like this, do you have the entire concept laid out first or do you improvise as you go? Do you use a computer program? Pieced? Applique? We want to know because it's so beautiful!

THe pattern is called goosetracks and it is from Hoopsisters. Not sure if you can purchase it or if it has to be thru your LQS. It is a lot of machine embroidery and also pieced. It isn't as difficult as it looks. There are a lot of step by step instructions with it. I am the one working on it with a black background with brights. There is also a goosetrack border you can put on it. Mine is a block of the month so it won't be finished for several more months. I can't wait to get it finished. They have a mystery quilt going on their website that I think you can purchase until the end of June.
