So I finally decided to try zone quilting - I'm just not happy with my fmq results and I'm sick of my back and hands hurting after a quilt session. I bought the Grace Mini quilter and I will use it with my Babylok Quilters Choice Pro. It has an 8.5 inch throat. I know I will have to rehoop but it should be easier than dealing with a huge quilt on my table and balling up the fabric (yes I've even thrown the quilt over my shoulder at times...). I am almost finished piecing my potato chip quilt and after I practice a lot, it will be the first quilt to go on the frame.
I'm pretty nervous but hopefully things go smoothly!

Is the bed of your machine wide or narrow? With a wide bed you will have less area to quilt side to side because it will take up too much room on the Grace Mini Quilter.

Its narrow. I have a detactable deck that widens it.

I have the Cutie with Juki TL2010 which I think is Juki's version of the Babylock. You will get about 5.5" in throat area and will probably lose about 4" on each side of hoop. I love my frame so much easier on arms and shoulders not wrestling that quilt around. And when not in use easily stores away. Suggest you watch YouTube videos by Grace, Leah Day and Bonnie Temple for tips on using Mini and Cutie frames. Also feel free to message me about any questions you may have.

I bought the big Arrow table and big quilts lay flat. I think it is the Joey. I was lucky to find a warehouse sale. It's easy to roll up to the middle and unroll as I quilt The weight is mostly on the table. It was more cost effective to buy the large table with insert for my Juki 2010 then to buy the smaller frames. I do all my piecing there too. Sewing binding is a breeze along all sides of the quilt. I don't do fancy custom quilting. Simple edge to edge or straight line quilting.

Thanks! I watched SO many videos, now I just need to try it. I do need to finish piecing that potato chip quilt though.
