quilt the hexs are individually pieced but the whole patch is appliqued to the block :thumbup: Lee

I think you can do it any way that you would like, that is what is so great about quilting...it is your quilt, and you can make it any way that you like :D:D:D

I am making one with all hexagons. I don't see why you couldn't do it your way. Sounds cool.

My Aunt, before she had ever taken a quilting class or learned too much about it, started a GFG quilt. She put them together by hand, but not english paper pieced. After she had a huge stack (2 quilts worth) done she found out that she had done them wrong, and if she tried to put them together as is they wouldn't fit right. She ended up appliqueing (sp) each of them onto a background square, and they looked great.
