Love Quilten, I'm very sorry for your loss.

I making one right now that has 6,000 hexagons.
I bought cardstock from Sam's club.
Mine is made up with all kinds of fabric designs and colors I keep looking for more so I can have a scrappy looking quilt.

Is your half inch project an "Insanity Quilt"? I have made a few half in. flowers to applique on border's etc, but don't think I have it in me to do a whole quilt!!

Lovequilten, Sending you sympathy in the loss of your spouse. I make my little templates out of plastic. Use oleo tub lids, milk carton sides, etc. Anything that has a flat surface. I punch a small hole on the center with a hole punch. Then I use my pointed dowel to pop them out when I get a section sewn together. I admire anyone who makes a GFG. I just hope I can get mine finished while I can still sew.

Thanks for the info - GFG is on my list too.
