Great find! New home sewing machine!!!
Today my DH wanted to go to an auction, I went with him a bit disgruntled (was sewing table runners). There under a tarp outside (5 days of rain), was a portable sewing machine. And somehow it just followed me home. It is a 1982 New Home Model 552, in like new condition. It has the original bill, $599.00 from Fort Pierce Fl, and the original manual, and parts, and sewing box!!! It will be a birthday gift for my DD,maybe, just maybe, it may stay with me. And it cost $55.00!!!! Here is a picture. Tomorrow my dh will tune it up. Here is a picture:

Congrats on your find. And congrats on living on one of the best places in the USofA--------The DelMarVa peninsula. Love Chincoteague best!
Only a handful of people know where its at----------why is beyond me.
