    yes, that is what I did, I just raw edged them down as full circles on larger squares and then cut away the back fabric
    and use it again, so on and so forth until the last circle is on and then I cut the block into quarters and put them back together. I used the leftover circles to pin between to fill out the top. I did not have a real pattern I just made it up as I went along.

    It is a free form straight stitch. I use it a lot as it is so easy, just go from one side to the other trying to keep it all pretty even...It works great if you are prequilting a piece for a hand bag or doing placemats....

    Nice. Looks like you need to whip the lower edge of the sleeve to the back of the quilt, isn't that the sleeve peeking out above the top edge?
