I thought those Command strips were rather expensive. I stack strips of blue painters tape on top of each other to get the height I need, and it doesn't leave any residue and comes off when you want. I couldn't sew without my roll of blue painters tape, probably my most valuable "tool" in the sewing room.

Same here. I have a Babylock Espire. If it looses it's stickyness quickly, then it would not be cost effective. My Babylock has a terrible problem with the 1/4" foot with guide. It's at war with the feeddogs. A real pain. I have to use other means to sew long strips and this sounds like a good idea! Except for the placement of the bobbin case.

What a super idea. I use them all the time at the holidays to hang stockings and wreaths but never thought of this idea. I also have thread issues sometimes and that makes it double worth the trip to Walmart. Since another tip this morning with sandpaper on rulers and now this seems like a good day to be on the board!! Thanks for sharing.
