Call DH and have him stop and buy some Wonder Under for you. Let him make a sandwich for dinner and feed the baby and you finish your cut outs.

Heat & Bond has served me very well, time and time again.

I have worked with Steam A Seam since it came out. What you have is a bad batch or one that was hanging on the shelf way too long. This product does have a shelf life just like Heat n Bond, Wonder Under and the rest. Put what you have left back in the pkg and take your scissors with you to return it. I have only had this happen to me once but it sure was a mess. Out of all of the brands, this one has worked the best. Heat and cold do affect it though so keep that in mind when storing.

I use Steam a Seam 2 lite all the time and love it but you have to make sure to keep it in the airtight plastic as much as possible. I have tried the Wonder under and some of the others but I don't like them at all. I have been doing a lot of applique the last while and Steam a seam lite is the best IMHO

Thanks all for your input. The rest of the day was a bust and Lord knows how long it will be before I get another quilty day...but oh well. I'm over it.
I will try to return the steam a seam and see if they will accept it. I used about two or three sheets of it and it is all cut with fabric on it. I will definitely take my scissors along to show them the goo. I had only used the steam a seam once before and was satisfied...that's why this batch was such a dissapointment.
Everyone is so encouraging though. Can't wait for my next day!
:)
