I have been working on and off on a sampler quilt. Whenever I felllike I need a break from my current project I make a couple of blocks, Well the one I just finished took me like 7 hours!! It wasn't even that hard of a block but the instructions were difficult to followand I swear I had to rip out every otheer seam. I kept getting things backward and stuff, I am n ot very pleased with the finished block. It's not bad, does have some mistakes. The quilting gremlins were out to get me today:) Some days the quilting faries aregood to me and everyting goes right. Does this happe to any one else?

Yes, I run into days where nothing goes right with my quilting. It's all part of the process.

Happens to me too. On those days I close up shop and do something else like read a book, crochet, work in the garden, watch a movie. ANything but sew.

Sometimes I wonder if i am smart enought to do quilting, When a pattern is not clear and I am unpicking a lot, it seems that I make more mistakes than usual too. I hate it when I am not enjoying the process but sometimes it does happen.

Yes, I understand what you are saying. Clear instructions is one thing I appreciate about Eleanor Burns!

I have days like that. I usually put my machine away and do something else. It's too frustrating otherwise.
