Husbands can be so amazing! Mine doesn't sew very much but he is great with wood and metal which comes in handy too. Since he retired, he has found out he likes cooking which is a big from me.

Well, my DH would do that if He could, poor Guy, He is not any good at sewing. I have tried to get Him to learn but He will have no part of it, lol...I guess He will stick to the wood working.

My DH is a keeper by my standards because he tolerates me as much as I tolerate him.....sometimes we have to take a deep breath and back off....and sometimes we go in in total agreement. That's OK with me. We both say we're the best thing that ever happened to the other.

However, I do have one son who is a wonder in my sewing room. He has learned all the ins and outs of running a LA machine, and has created several great quilting designs, and does all of my LA quilting (for me, for my sisters, and for my many friends who need a long armer). Plus, he keeps my sewing room decently clean; as much as one can with me as owner. I am a clutter-bug (mess doesn't bother me when I am creating), a hoarder (when I want to go to Whittle's he goes with me and doesn't say "do you really think you'll use that"); am I lucky, or am I lucky.....

I think Dunster and I got our DHs from the same place. Mine is precious and takes good care of me, but I KNOW I don't want him in y sewing room! LOL!

My hubby wouldn't work very well in the sewing room; and I definitely don't let him handle a paint brush!!! He likes to pitter with woodworking (occasionally). He can mentally create things that can be helpful.
