Both guild's I belong to get the meeting place free. One in a nursing home/ assisted living facility, the other in a local school. We do make a quilt each year for the facility. They use it to raise money.
When we meet for sit n sew we pay a small fee to a local church that has a hall.
Sometimes small groups meet at the public library for free or the senior center.
All meeting spaces must be left clean.
Raising money can be a struggle. Door prize raffle,50/50 raffle, challenges, auctions, these are all good ideas.
How many members do you have?
