I'm on the last leg of my quilt top
was sewing away and the 1/4 foot fell off....Tried putting it
back on several times- finally took the holder off and out fell springs and screws......woe is me............quilt is toast for awhile ........

This is almost a disaster! But since it gives you an opportunity to go to a fabric store or shop on line for a new foot, it averts disaster status.

Rita guess that's what happens from putting the pedal to the metal *L* bummer that you didn't get it finished..A new foot should be cheaper than a new machine.

I absolutely agree with your plan to buy a new machine, You can't trust a machine that just decides to throw in the "foot" anytime it pleases! Have fun shopping and let us know what you end up with,
